today

Sometimes you just have a good day.

Today, MM got a new job. This is especially exciting because it means we get to move--we get to move into a HOUSE! The downside, you ask? Well, the house will most likely be in Fremont, San Leandro or Hayward. Which sucks. I'm willing to overlook such setbacks in the face of pulling in mucho dinero and having a house. Also, we will most likely get another car. This is good and bad, if you ask me.

Today I finished my evening gown. This embroidered silk monstrosity is way couture. I had to handsew a bunch of it. That's sew and stitch with a needle and thread and my own two hands. No machine for a lot of it. No wonder it took me more than a month to finish. You can see it in person if you come to my fashion show in may.

Today we went to Mijori to celebrate mm's new job. We had the bay scallop roll which is baked and delicious. We also had hirame and sake nigiri, sake to drink, a shitake roll and a spider roll. Tasty.

Today I told a friend about how someone sent mm and me an issue of Modern Drunkard magazine which we received via post yesterday. Very funny--I think it was Y-M and A.

Today marks the beginning of the rest of my life.
